QUINCE
AREA 3500 SF / 325 sm COMPLETED 2024 STEVEN VOLPE DESIGN
Owners Lindsay and Chef Michael Tusk envisioned a new dining experience for three-starred Michelin restaurant, Quince. Quince is an established restaurant of three decades situated in the historic Jackson Square neighborhood of San Francisco. The Tusks imagined a new dining experience that includes a brand new tasting menu and daytime lunch offering in an airy and elegant space. To achieve a bright and refined dining room a new 15-foot tall operable custom facade system was developed to connect diners with the treelined street of Pacific Avenue.
Quince is imagined as a collection of meandering rooms, connected to one another through detail, luxurious fabrics and earthen color. Our design includes a new winter garden, cocktail bar, lounge and dining room. The design process involved the selection of vintage pieces from Paris, including a Paul McCobb sofa, artwork and lighting. A Pavvo Tynel sconce hangs above the Quince bar, alongside a hand painted fresco, a nod to Fresh Run Farm where menu items from Bolinas are sourced daily. The dining room includes custom ceiling fixtures, rugs, dining tables, chairs and settees offering a relaxed and elevated ambiance for Quince’s clientele.
